After sailing half the world's oceans, I love the vastness of the Pacific Ocean above all others and its colours are reflected in my palette to this day.
I still love to paint turtles.
I have swum with sharks, been towed by dolphins and fed wild giant stingrays by hand. But nothing has touched me like swimming with a turtle in the open Pacific.
These gentle creatures, so cumbersome ashore, have an effortless grace in the sea that excites and awes every time you encounter them. The distances that they travel are simply vast.
